Affluenza，名詞，一種經由人群傳染的疾病。因為人們不斷奢求擁有更多，導致出現負荷過多、負債累累、焦慮不安、虛耗浪費；既痛苦不堪，又具傳染性。
藉由疾病的巧妙譬喻探討社會議題：社會對物質之病態追求，導致對健康、家庭、社區與環境，造成嚴重傷害。
